AI in Texas is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting responsible AI education and adoption across the state, starting with schools. We offer AI Maker Labs that allow students of all ages to safely explore and experience the power of artificial intelligence.
That said, we are excited about our upcoming AI Agent Hackathon being held for high school and university students this season in McKinney, TX.
DETAILS YOU NEED TO KNOW BETWEEN NOW AND CELEBRATION DAY ON NOVEMBER 18th:
- If you have not already done so, please check out the event details & RSVP on our Meetup page. If you are going to submit an idea (or three!), you get free admission for celebration day. Use promo code, HACKER. Not hacking? That's ok! We have promo codes for you too. See below:
- After you RSVP, submit your idea(s) below. Upon submission, a member of our event planning committee will be in touch to guide you through next steps for office hours/training. Please allow 1-3 business days for someone to reach you.
- During daily office hours/trainings, you will learn to use open source AI Agent Builders from local AI leaders. Tools below:
- Video can be between 1 minute and 5 minutes, all other times and inappropriate videos will be disqualified,
- Youtube links are preferred as the video type.

Likeness of Agent - The realism or likeness of the agent to a human or character.
Goals of Agent - Clarity and relevance of the goals set for the agent.
Fulfilling of Goals - How effectively the agent meets its predefined goals.
Innovation in Scenario - How innovative the scenario or environment is for the agent.
Engagement with Users - How well the agent interacts or engages with users.
